The Climate Data Steering Committee (CDSC) published its Recommendations for the Development of the Net-Zero Data Public Utility (NZDPU) in November 2022.
The Net-Zero Data Public Utility (NZDPU) aims to become a global, centralized, open repository for private sector climate transition-related data. The NZDPU will make more easily accessible a core set of corporate-level data disclosure that is critical for accelerating progress in terms of attracting capital towards transition. It will provide access to data in a transparent, consistent, and open format that is publicly accessible and will draw on existing and forthcoming climate-related reporting initiatives and requirements.
As a global resource, it is designed to support global efforts towards transition, including those led by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
